-After a second batch of chicks raised and sold we have seen no profit. Camilo is learning a lot about business management and realizes that we need more chickens to raise. Camilo, Antonio and others are in the process of putting up a second pen, while another member of the congregation is raising chickens at his home. The idea of this project is that the proceeds go to paying the church property and for construction materials. A break..
Activities with Samaritan’s Purse:
-We attended an excellent pastors, wives and family retreat in Cangrejera, La Libertad. S.P. invited Raven Ministries from California whose special focus is on pastoral family care.
-Cindy took a group of youth to a Sunday School teachers training in Coyolito with the hope that these young people will be the future SS teachers.
Wilkerson Conference:
-At the end of November we assisted David and Gary Wilkerson’s Pastors and Spouses Conference in San Salvador. We all came away with new challenges and a renewed vision of ministry. Praise the Lord for these men of God investing in the lives of pastors and their families all over the world!
Baby growing:
-We are thankful the Cindy’s pregnancy is going well so far. We are excited to welcome our little boy into our family at the beginning of April!
Baptisms:
-On November 17, Antonio Rivera, Cantón El Tablón, was baptized in the local creek. He is the young man that is taking care of our property and the chickens in El Tablón. Please keep him in your prayers as his desire is to serve God more.
-Ana Dolores Martinez, missionary from Maranata Church, Soyapango, shared with our members her experiences in Uzbekistan, Spain and throughout the Northern part of Africa.
-The day Antonio was baptized, many members from Las Pavas Church with Pastor Ismael Osorio, came for a time of fellowship and lunch by the creek.
-At the Wilkerson Conference we were connected with Nahum Martinez, Church of God missionary from Santa Rosa, Ciudad Arce. We invited Nahum to share with our congregation about his new work planting a church in Potonico, Chalatenango. Please pray for this young man as the Lord uses him to spread the gospel in this region of Chalatenango.
Praises:
-We are thankful for the recent donations for purchasing the church property.
-Members from Las Pavas Church, Berea Church, Sheila Terrel, and others!
-Cindy’s Salvadorian residency papers were finally processed and approved!
-We are thankful that we have been healthy
-We are so thankful for the Lord’s provision
-We are thankful for you, our partners in your faithfulness in prayers and giving.
Prayer Requests:
-For our spiritual growth
-We are anxious to move into a new home before baby comes, we are confident in God’s timing, but appreciate your prayers too.
-That as the Lord puts ideas of new projects into our hearts that we might have the courage to follow through with them, trust and obey.
-That the Lord would guide us in the chicken raising business and wisdom on how to best manage this business for His glory.
-That both of us will have the opportunity to further our Biblical studies. Vision International University offers a program in El Salvador through MCA’s Bible Institute. (Camilo would study locally and Cindy distance learning through internet).
