We are co-workers in God's service...

I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
1 Corinthians 3:6-9

God allowed us to plant His Word in Ojos de Agua and gave us the blessing to see the fruit. Everyday we give thanks to God for this special experience, for the people God used to impact our lives and by His mercy allowing us to be used for Him. What a priviledge!

I will say that November 27 and 28 were the most difficult days of my time here in El Salvador. Sunday the 27th was our last church service. In summary: A sea of tears. I didn't want to let go of the many hugs from our brothers and sisters who accepted us and loved us for more than five years.

Representatives from the San Martin Church
The service was a special time with special visitors from MCA's San Martin church with Pastor Salvador Perez. They participated with songs, prayers and words of encouragement for us. Many brothers and sisters came forward to express words of thanks to God for the ministry. One sister, Elsa, who has a son with disabilities and an abusive husband, expressed that we initiated the work but the work now is in the hands of them, the church members, and asked for prayers for her family. Another brother, Gilberto, one of our first baptized members, expressed his thankfulness to the Lord who used Camilo to help him get off the streets and out of his alcohol addiction. He said that we are all Christ's soliders and said these words to Pastor Heber: "we are going to be checking on our soldiers and if one of them falls, I'll let you know."

Moving Day
On Monday, November 28 was very difficult, it was the day to leave our house in El Tablón. We had a very hard day not just physically but emotionally as well. We gave away the majority of our belongings and left the house almost empty for the church's use. They'll be using the house and land for church meetings, Sunday School, retreats, etc. This day was especially hard for me emotionally because of the sadness and stress of the moment. Crying the whole way down the mountain into Ojos de Agua, we headed on our way to San Salvador where we would spend the last few days in El Salvador.

We are so thankful for the years that we were able to invest in this community and we know the work has not been in vain. We thank the Lord for all of you who have prayed, financially supported, and participated in God's work in Ojos de Agua.

With this said, I say good-bye as author of this blog and it is now in the hands of Pastor Heber's daughter, Cesia Elias. You can continue staying updated about our family and our recent arrival to the United States in the blog: Blanco Family Notes (blancofamilynotes.blogspot.com)
